It’s that time of year again. Students are busy studying for exams and putting the final touches on projects. Finals can be stressful. It’s always healthy to take a break with your friends and check out these late-night treats.

Hi-Way Diner

Hi-Way Diner is located south of campus off Highway 2. It’s open 24 hours and features a delicious showcase of pies and affordable but tasty breakfast food. Our recommendations are the chicken fried steak, and my personal favorite, their cinnamon rolls. Click here to view the full menu.

Hurts Donut

Located on 10th and P street, this 24-hour donut shop is a fun place to get a sweet treat with friends. They a wide variety of unique donut flavors and donut milkshakes. I’m a big fan of their Key Lime filled donuts. Even better, Hurts is within walking distance from UNL’s city campus. Click here to view their Facebook page.

Village Inn

Village Inn is another great place to get a late-night breakfast fix. They have several locations throughout Lincoln. We recommend their chocolate milk, which is some of the best in town. For a mid-week break, stop in on Wednesdays to get a free slice of pie with any purchase. Click here to see a full menu.

Old Chicago

This pizza place offers cheap and tasty appetizers after 10pm. Our favorite is the $2 personal, one-topping pizzas. Their Bacon & Cheddar Mac N’ Cheese Bites are pretty good too! It’s also another great, affordable option within walking distance from UNL’s city campus. Click here to see a full menu.

Applebee’s

Applebee’s offers a late-night menu, which includes 50% off select appetizers. This is a great budget-friendly snack option every day, 9pm to close. The closest location from campus is on 27th street. Click here to view their full menu.
